Q: dunno
From released exams, I am pretty sure the questions are ordered in sets of about 15 by difficulty and in that set by time period. For example, every 15 or so questions, there is something on the colonies/revolution/articles.
I know what watergate it, but why it was horrible escapes me (i dont think anyone liked Nixon anyhow)
we probably sudnt be up this late.

we r done at 1968, coz we have to do the IB Americas stuff, with those nicaragua, cuba and argentina dictators, and all those weird stuff

Hey good luck everyone!

***...it was the worst DBQ ever conceived. I HATE COLLEGEBOARD

I didn't think the DBQ was too bad......some of the more obscure MC ones sucked though! I really hope I get at least a 4.

The DBQ was probably the best part of the test for me. The MC had a lot of new terms and people that we had just briefly gone over in the last week or so before the exam, so I didn't know much about them. The essays were worded strangely, but I did the best I could...the FRQs were a little weaker because I drew a blank and couldn't think of a lot of specific evidence. Especially for #3. I wanted to get a 4, but now I'm not getting my hopes up...

That wasn't TOO bad... some of the multiple choice questions were kind of out there, though.

lol, one of the people in my class said a week before the test that he hoped the DBQ would be on anything but that topic! Talk about bad karma...

yeah...3 was kinda tricky, lots of acts and amendments and whatnot.

DBQ is so easy~ DBQ already told you everything lol

multiple choices owned me, since i though i had enough time

actually it took me more time than i expected so i skipped some

Okay, for the uninitiated---what is DBQ???

document -based question. You're given ~9 documents and a question with several parts and on US you have to answer the question using 50% outside facts and 50% knowledge from the documents applying them to your thesis. In world you don't need any outside facts. I dunno about Euro.

OMG-maybe I'll re-think recommending AP US His for my kid!
That sounds awful!

Believersmom, the test really wasn't that bad, you just needed to know the facts and practice writing thesises for the essays. The DBQ just takes practice as well and learning how to utilize the Docs for ur argument. The MC was definitely a lot easier than I expected, although some Qs were either random or vague. Overall, I didn't think it was a bad test.

MC?
Shoot, I don't even know the acronyms, how can I expect my kid to pass the class?

Oh wait...mulitple choice? Yipee, score one for the old lady.
:o

Hope you all did as well or better than you hoped!

Three essays in a row was brutal, but I found the topics pretty easy. Writing is my strength, but I know I messed up on the MC. I hate the guessing penalty and I also hate omitting questions.

In a ideal situation guessing should virtually cancel out and plus or negatives...and it works statistically in your favor if you can eliminate something.

I did essays 1, 3, 5. I did a little cheer when I got essay 5. I was totally covered if I got to write about the 20s or and 30s...roaring twenties or sex, drugs and rock & roll are LOVE.

Anyone take the SAT IIs in US History today? They were quite a pain, all those charts...and then I blanked when I had to try and figure out 25% of 659 to analyze a question.

yeah too many charts for my taste

Did anyone else use sites like ushistoryplace.com or awl.com/garraty to prepare for the AP? It seemed like the AP questions were a lot easier than the ones on the site...or maybe I just screwed up completely, lol.

ya i took the sat 2, a couple of the questions were exactly like the ap lol

i am glad we had a discussion here or i wouldve gotten more wrong

what did u put for the roosevelt supporters ...except?
