the art/science of time management - englighten me

Time management. Such a trite topic in everyday life - I am too busy to **** as the shirt says. I feel so overwhelmed by homework, studying, and extracurriculars that I never feel that I have the time to actually LIVE. Let alone study for SATs, APs, and AP 2s. And I really should start working, too, because it looks like I will be having a rough time paying for college.
Basically, I need to now master time mangement. Better sooner than later.
Any tips? Advice?

I tried a scheduele but it NEVER works. Stuff comes up or I am too lazy/unmotivated to do stuff like SAT studying. All I do is get my hw done with lil sleep. Yeah, it sucks.

Help me out!!! It will mean a lot to me.

Thanks!!

Ohh... I had similar problems this year. I started to isolate myself at the library with my work and away from computers. It has helped.

Once I started feeling stressed with crazy amounts of homework and ECs, I started prioritizing. Drop stupid ECs and don't do excessive amounts of homework if you know you'll make the A anyway. Also, get your homework out of the way first. That way, you never have to have something in the back of your mind.

Don't watch television. You'll burn several hours away before you realize what happened.

ditto to the tv thing. I'm trying to cut back cuz I am so swamped this year. so far, any attempts at time management have been foiled by that tube.

if you are tired and need a break, lie down on your bed or take a shower. but DONT relax in front of the tube (or at least not very often)

haha.. at least that is not a problem. our tube has no channels and all the movies we have are russian, which i do not like. and i am too frugal to spend 5 bucks on blockbuster

Ay and if you're going to cram, these are some good tips.

Yeah tv, aim, and CC are the bane of any good time management plan. However, you have to find a way to get all your things done and still have some fun.

STAY AWAY FROM AIM!!1!111

Basically, computers are deadly when it comes to procrastination.

I have to reiterate the point greencloth brought up - PRIORITIZE!

Know what you're naturally good at and don't spend as much time on that as you do on subjects that are more difficult for you.

Stop browsing and posting around on CC. I swear, this place is like an addiction.
