I visited Clark last week. I was really impressed and liked many things about the school, especially the warm and welcoming student body! However, I got the sense that the (visual and performing) arts don’t really have much of a presence on campus. I didn’t meet any arts majors, and the department wasn’t brought up in either the info session or the tour. I’m looking for a place where the arts thrive and are a big part of campus life, and I’m worried this really isn’t the case at Clark. This was especially concerning to me since I’m very involved in music and am considering majoring in it (the music program seemed particularly small).
To all the Clarkies and other people that might know: would you say this is a fair assessment? I know that with tours, many things can depend on what day you’re there and which people you meet, so I don’t want to jump to any conclusions.
