The Atlantic weighs in on "ridiculous impractical careers" (in favor)

Thought some of you might enjoy this piece in defense of pursuing one’s dreams. https://www.theatlantic.com/family/archive/2018/03/dear-therapist-career-plan/556622/

Fantastic!!

That was BRILLIANT. Thanks for sharing!

My favorite points were 1. This therapist has seen many people who say they regret not trying something they loved when they were young because they were scared of got talked out of it, but has never seen anyone who REGRETTED trying something when they were young, even if it didn’t work out, and 2. If you take a risk and try something you love when you’re young, and it doesn’t work out, it was NOT a waste of time. In this case, the young man will learn important skills and lessons that will serve him well in life, just as are acting kids will. Great advice!

I love that!! My husband is the one that is concerned my son will be eating ramen for the rest of his life or homeless somewhere trying to make it as an actor. I am definitely sharing that with him!! Personally, I like ramen

Wonderful article. Thank you.
