i have been doing everything you guys have said to do in preparation for the beast yet i still worry that there will surely be something that i haven't thought of and neglected. i am bound to have weaknesses and i am sure they'll find them. it does make me feel a lot better to know that it's about effort. i know i wont give up, that's not a problem.

they'll find wekanesses no matter what. thats part of what you learn.

as far as the wall goes, they let us help when we ran it the first time, but not when it was "graded" for the pass/fail.

Everyone has weaknesses, don't worry about them. If I were you, I'd just try not to think about basic all that much and try to enjoy your last few months as a free person as much as you can. I know it sounds corny and all, and I know i'll be hard to do cause I remember being told that and not believing it, but you'll find out that it will be worth it in the end. You'll be fine when you get here. Just remember to not give up and you'll be golden.

yes yes.. GOLDEN :) haha

Red! Red! I Meant Red!!!!!

patriot is doing it now to! i'm ashamed! lol. and, and its actually the seniors who told me it looks like pee yellow. so yeah, thats their words

eagle, what were you refering to when you said something about the wall and running? you have to run up a wall?

i meant "run" as in "run through the course". aka the first time you go through it. its just a wall however high you have to pull yourself over

Noooo! i was soo looking forward to that flippy obstacle tower thing...

they better bring back that SERE training thing to compensate, i dont want my usafa experience dumbed down...

i wish we had SERE. and the Tilton Hilton was amazing. especially when you are at the top when they shout "Lightning! Get down NOW!!!"

lol eagle, that would have flipped me out. Yet I'm doing jump...go figure.

They had SERE many years ago, but replaced it with CST because they got real nervous with cadets running SERE (the resistance part has less physical limitations, like beating (literally)).

is that what they were saying the might bring back at orientation?

CST yes, but who knows.

probably. i've heard rumers its coming back, but it wouldn't be til next summer (so starting with 2011), so we would miss it, which would stink. but at least someone would get to do it again, which is better than the way it is now

Most of us will do SERE/CST during Pilot training anyways. Thats the whole reason they got rid of it in the first place, I think. Cause too many people were doing it here only to go do it again during Pilot Training and it was a waste of time and money. (then again...this IS the military, that may not be the reason at all...)
