I'll be checking at midnight.

i doubt berkeley is gonna do anything at all.
i bet the cause of the down time was that all decisions have been made and currently the site is masking the decision.
so basically i think its set on a timer and on a specific time tomorrow everything would be revealed

Was it the same cat?

So, there was a glitch in the Matrix and something was changed on us?

Do you guys just type out , *, *, etc., and let the filters catch it, or do you actually type out ''?

I type out the word, because I'm *super *avant-garde.

This limbo state might seem appealing tomorrow if we get rejected. At least now, we still have a chance. If we get rejected, the fantasy is up.

Damn, that sounded really pessimistic. I'm actually pretty optimistic that things will turn out for the best (whether I get in or not). I actually made two lists in class today to kill some time and get some thoughts out of my head. The first was the "Why I want to go to Berkeley" list and the second was "Why Davis wouldn't be so bad" Hopefully though, I will be able to throw away the Davis list tomorrow. Good luck to you all. =)

Getting into all these very good schools hasn't really hit me yet. It probably never will. Although, I know there are so many others who would kill to be in the position I'm in today. My only true wave of excitement came when I was admitted to UCD and it felt very good. I shouted around the house for like 5 minutes and rejoiced with my sis.

Since then it's been "oh cool I'm admitted" ...........with the exception of UCLA of course.

I feel bad that I wasn't excited at all for my acceptance into Davis or Santa Cruz. Well, I knew I was into Davis last summer when I filled out my TAG. As far as Santa Cruz goes, I knew that I had a small chance of being rejected and if I were rejected my chances at Cal were nonexistent.

I should be happy about Davis but I feel lukewarm at best about possibly going there. It's still a great university and it's considered a "public ivy." I was wondering why a lot of people coming from CCC's didn't have TAG's with all UC's except for LA and Berkeley?

Yea I don't think that I will really appreciate getting accepted to UCLA and hopefully Berkeley until I transfer to the school. It is going to suck tomorrow if I get rejected because I will not be able to fantasize about going to Berkeley anymore.

Off topic, but does anyone else have a major paper/studying to finish tomorrow?

I have a 5 page (single-spaced) to do, in its entirety, tomorrow; tomorrow is going t be funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn (added "n's" requisite in the articulation of my point).

I have a paper due Thursday which I have not started yet and I need to study for a little quiz tomorrow.

I'm done with my local classes, except for a 10 page (single spaced) math modeling paper that I have to complete by Friday. I've got about 7 pages but I think I have to throw 4 away.

Um...but tomorrow I have to complete my last Calc assignment and all of my weekly online schoolwork.

Too bad they tell us right in the middle of the week...

I'm unable to do any reading, studying, or any hw until I hear from Cal.

Dude, Chang, Cal wanted me to tell you you're in!
.
.
.
Does that help?

Rrrrr....

Actually no because I will be celebrating now. It is really a lose, lose, situation for me.

Time to make my way to my medicine cabinet for a few delicious Advil PM; see you guys for the countdown.

Does anyone know how important EC's are for Berkeley? I am doing mechanical engineering and go to a CC now. I don't know how to even find internships, my school does not help with that.

This is arguable and I am sure there will be a debate about this. I just recently emailed an admissions rep and they said this about ECs "We are very concerned with what you are doing at the transfer level in terms of your activities." Berkeley and UCLA both use a holistic approach to admissions and look at your entire application rather than just your GPA and prerequisites. But I don't have any suggestions on what you should do for engineering. Maybe join MESA or some other science/math club.

chang, I hear you. I cannot think or function properly beacuse I've been waiting for this day for at least a good two years.

I need to sleep through the entire day and just look at my application status on May 1st. This wait is killing me..

Thedude44, it's posts like yours that give a guy like me hope!

Well thank you very much. I am glad I can make post that can give you hope.
