I have a question that may or may not be completely stupid...

I already sent SAT scores to some colleges when I took the SAT II in November.

However, I took the SAT I AGAIN in December, and had that score (which will obviously include all of my others as well) sent to all of my colleges.

My question - will colleges just kinda throw away the December report because they already have SAT scores for me?

BTW - On the Common App SAT section I put on the third space, 12/06 and just left the score sections blank, just so they'd know I was taking it in December.

stressedOut is on the right track. I would not tell them how to evaluate you. Their methods will vary, and you don't want to come across as bossy. I would identify the admissions officer responsible for your area (if that is the way a school does it) and send a polite e-mail alerting him/her to the fact that you have sent new scores.

I don't think that notifying the school is necessary. They'll download your scores, put them in your file, and evaluate them as they deem best. This happens all the time. They know what to do.

I've been told by admissions officers many times that it depends. The issue is when the file gets read. If the file has already been read, new data may not be seen unless one draws the officer's attention to it. That's why it's smart to contact the ad. off. in charge of reading applications from your school/area.
