the decision day

yeah i know there are so many posts about it but i just called and i asked if it is true they are announcing on Monday, but the guy said they have not picked a date yet and it will probably be in the next two weeks

That was smart of you. I've been relying/been confused of rumors, saying to keep refreshing at midnight tonight for the results, next Monday, next Wednesday, etc, etc.

last year the site came on at like 4pm... so i don't think they'll release at midnight

It will most likely be the day before, same day as, or day after Berkeley. Don't expect anything until the end of the month.

berkeley's site says 27th is the decision day, so probably around then

You sure it was 4pm? I remember 5pm, but I am not 100% positive.

yeah i am not sure if it was 4 or 5 but sure heck it wasn't at midnight, i was just trying to tell pamplemousse25 that you don't need to stay up and check at midnight

Oh no, don't worry, I didn't. I checked in the morning, but wasn't expecting anything. Thanks, though. My friends kept insisting it'd be up then, but I just didn't understand why colleges would wait up til 12 am to post results. They claimed it was automated, which it may have been, but still...

Are we thinking 3/27, same date as UCB?

ok i applied but UCLA doesnt have a site where u log in to see if u got yet, right? i mean there's
UCLA Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools: Decision Notification

but no spot to type in app ID

according to one user on here, whose mother is on the admissions committee at UCLA, they will be released this monday. A lot of people with no relations to UCLA admissions are contradicting him though, so IDK. Maybe he's right, maybe he's wrong.

The rumors here have generally been correct. UCSD was rumored to release today, even earlier than UCSB, and they did. This makes me think that there is merit to the Monday rumor.

I'm still doubtful of the UCLA Monday rumor because we are only hearing this from one source. Sure, the UCSD rumor was correct, but it came from everybody who went to that Scholar's day, so unless there is going to be someone else to otherwise confirm that UCLA decision day is this monday, I'm going to prepare to wait for around the 27th.

Totally see where you're coming from, but assuming the source is "real", it's very legit. You won't hear it from anything better than an AO's son. I mean, who are you gonna believe, students who were admitted under a newer, yet slower system last year, or someone who's parent is actually making the decisions?

And if he's lying, I'll be just as PO'd as you all are. Just tryin to bring a different perspective. I guess plan on the 27th but hope for sooner! GL!

its definitely gonnabe before the 26 because i think the 26/27 has to be the day for engineering admits to rsvp for theopen house..which i received

well there is a chance for every rumor to come true, some people don't believe it much (me for example), last year there was a rumor that it'll come out on wednesday the week before, checked and it didn't come out, the next rumor came the next day that says monday it'll come out... waited anxiously, checked and it was wrong... then the wednesday rumor came out again... so after two days of waiting... it didn't come out... and finally it came out on thursday which no one predicted, the rumor said friday but it came one day before...

I have a question (even tho it's non-related) do UC's only calculate your 10th/11th total GPA's or do they also look at your weighted/regular GPA as a whole, too?! so if some1 had there art class during 10th grade instead of 9th, the one who took it in 9th would essentially have a higher "UC" Gpa.. ugh.

Totally wrong forum but:

UC GPA ONLY counts your 10th and 11th grade. What you do is add up all your unweighted points and then add your weighted points (not to exceed 8) and then divided by the amount of classes.

Doesn't matter when you took art or health ed or whatever.

oops! sorry for the wrong forum.. but. yes. it will matter. because if you took art during your 10t grade, as opposed to someone that took it during their ninth grade, then the one in 9th will have a higher UC GPA since the art class is 4 point/extra class. does that sound right? haha.

I could see UCLA releasing theirs on 3/17 or 3/20.

My Regents Scholar application letter says that they will mail something on the 17th if you do not get Regents there, and it says that you can check by the 20th if you do get Regents.
