The Definitive Study Materials List

kateapollo, I am sure the vast majority of kids bringing computers to college have a USB port. They are that common.

If you bought your computer in the last seven years, there is a good chance that it has a USB port.

Most universities maintain current technology for the purposes of security, stability, and so forth. I doubt one could run a stable and secure operating system on anything more than a four year old PC, and that too I am being generous.

Of course, we could all run MS-DOS, but that would not be fun;)

So you are ready to install FreeBSD.. and you lost all your copies of last versions. .. you are out of cd-rs ... You have formated the hd where freeBSSD and all you have is the "other" operating" system ... What to do????? Your two Floppies come to the rescue!!!!.. Such life savers!. now you can use them to install your so needed freeBSD via FTP. Never underestimate the power of floppies.. they can even make your computer go bye bye.. and no I do not mean with a virus.. a true double edge knife.

Anyways.. shouldnt we be adding to the list instead of arguing the floppy issue.. I think some will use them .. some wont.

.. a much more interesting discussion would go over calculators.. given the fact that some classes can be restrictive on the matter.

You could always burn that floppy image onto a CD. If its still on the floppy...too bad because the floppy has probobly gone corrupt by now...BAD way to save important papers.
