The difference between a letter of reccomendation from teachers of 1 year and 6 years

Hi!

So I have 2 prospective choices for my letter of recommendation.

I have one from my Business teacher which is in the bag, he's known me for 3 years and will write greatly.

The other one I'm contemplating is between a teacher I know of 1 year and one that I know of 6 years.

The Literature teacher I've known for a year, she's really nice and I totally shine in her class. Being an English teacher she also writes extremely well. However, I've only been with her for 2 terms and will not get an opportunity to study with her any longer - is this any disadvantage during application?

The other teacher I'm thinking of is my Biology teacher who I've known for 6 years, she's a great teacher as well but I'm not actually very scientific-minded and, although I get As, I certainly am not top of her class.

I actually have another Geography teacher, I've asked him for a recommendation and I've known him for 4-5 years, the thing is, he said he's been asked many times before and he'll just copy paste a little bit from previous letters over the summer to put together mine.

Is this a straight big no no?

Geography guy is a no no. You need the letter to highlight your unique qualities, and if he’s going to c/p parts of it, then don’t use it.

As for the other two, ignore the years. Who do you feel knows you better as a person and could write more about you? Also, you’ve known Bio for 6 years, but how many classes have you had with her?

If you can’t make a decision, why not just send three LOR’s? I did, but I wouldn’t send any more than that.

I’ve had 5 classes with her, excluding a year in middle school, over the 6 years I’ve known her. I’m not exactly her favorite student though - by a long shot.

Anyway I’ve already asked them all for recs, hoping for the best.
