<p>I don't think many will dispute that there is a significant difference between an 800 and 790, relative to that between, say, a 790 vs 780, but how significant is it?</p>
<p>There is no difference between either (800/790 or 790/780).</p>
<p>But why is that?</p>
<p>Raw scores of an 800 range greatly; knowing someone has an 800, you have no way of differentiating a perfect score (-0) from a 44 raw. A 790 can, typically, only be one score. </p>
<p>Maybe it’s just me being perturbed by the dumb errors that landed me two 790’s, but I really feel there is a distinct difference between the psychological impacts the scores create.</p>
