The Dorm Assignment Thread.

so I’m guessing manzanita assignments haven’t been sent out yet =/

This might be the right thread for this. haha

“UCSB Advice for Freshmen”
[UCSB advice for the freshmen part1.mp4 - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

That was a pretty stupid vid lol

They have, I know several people that got assigned there for the fall, but I’m in FSSP.

Those who have received their dorm assignment: What information did you get? Is it just your hall and room number or do they tell you your roommates as well? I remember hearing that you get your roommate’s first name and phone #, but no last name or email, is that true?

yup. you get your hall and room number with your roommate’s first name and number only.

**PRO-TIP #1: **
Enter your roommate’s phone number onto Facebook search.

My S got dorm info it says triple and only gives one roommates name who is actually his roommate now in the FFSP. Is that normal to not get any info on a third roommate?

I have friends that are in a triple. Their third roommate didn’t have a phone number listed.

So Anberlin. . .you excited about living in that hut by the sea?

I don’t want to live in the dorm I was assigned to so i posted a request to switch with someone on fb. If i find someone to switch with is there any way we could actually trade dorms? A lot of people are requesting trades wth peopple on fb so i am just wondering if its possible and if its even allowed?

Actually, I got Santa Catalina: North Tower, 3rd Floor.

yay Anberlin! all your wishes came trueeeee

FT Quiet Floor. My roommate doesn’t have any contact information though. I didn’t even know you could decline contact information.

I have to ask if anyone knows, is the quiet floor actually quiet?

triple in Anacapa!

anyone know how the 4-person suite at san rafael is like?

It could be; it could not be.

When I lived in FT, the third floor was the scholar’s floor.

As it transpired, it became notoriously known as “the smoker’s floor.”

BUT, maybe the students were academically inclined as well? I didn’t live on the floor, and I knew only about five friends who lived there.

Point: you never know Ahriman. .__.

In the 2008-2009 school year, FT’s 3rd floor Scholar’s Floor was the loud / smoker’s floor too. Their 9th floor quiet floor was still loud. Their 9th floor in North tower definitely had alcohol and tobacco users even though it is substance free.

Anyways, I’m a 4th year right now and I am on 3rd floor Camuesa House in the Continuing Scholars Floor in Manzanita Village.

I’m on the Quiet floor too…oh joy…

I wished I lived in a single but I turned in my housing application late so I got a double.
