<p>you were a chemist. do you realize with the same amount of academia time you could have been a patent lawyer with starting pays of 180k+? that would have helped your debt. not to sound snide or bring up old topics, but I just wanted to shed light on that.</p>
<p>Washington bailed out General Motors, the UAW, the Wall Street investment banks, European banks . . . don’t hold your breath that Obama and Congress will bail out college students. But if college grads can’t buy cars and houses because of school debt, some politician somewhere is going to argue that a huge infusion of “investment” into the Dept. of Education to forgive much of this debt will be a “stimulus” to the economy.</p>
