The EOF program at Rutgers

Hey, liveitlight here again; so im going to be a freshman next year, and I applied to rutgers regular decision. It asked me if I wanted to apply to the EOF program; at the time I didnt completely understand what it was but after generally reading about it. I thought my financial level was relevant to requirements, but I dont believe I have come from a disadvantaged background at all. Thought it was a state financial aid.

So after more reading Im just wondering is the EOF program worth it. I may be accepted but it asks for a summer commitment which my family is unsure of.

So pretty much im asking about if anyone had experience with this program, or any details about it.

My last concern is if I decide to withdraw from the EOF; will it impact my rutgers admission considering that they’ll respond in a month. My grades are above average of rugters applicants, but I really dont want to jeopardize my chance. Is it safe to withdraw now. They told me I didnt have to pay the application fee, so if I backout of EOF will they allow me to pay it or will they cancel the application.

Can anyone clear up the wind; kind of stressing over this program since I said yes to this program for most of my NJ colleges

Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks

Bump, anyone?

You can go through with it and then not go to the required sessions a week before classes. I did that because I had work and two weddings. They don’t use eof to determine acceptance.

This is me right now, I got accepted through EOF but I’m unsure about doing the summer sessions. @terrapin45 you didn’t go to the 6 week summer sessions?? They still let you into the school and EOF? I recently talked to the EOF guy and he told me that I had to do the sessions and if I withdrew from the EOF I might not get accepted to Rutgers because of my stats.
