Hi everyone, i will attend Hotchkiss this fall for PG and plan to choose five courses. Now my plan is. 1 AP Cal BC. 2. Senior Eng 3. AP micro macroeconomics 4. US history. 5. Creative writing. Well, i wonder whether i should choose AP US History instead? because i will take us hist for SAT2. However, i am asian and hace no us history course before. Doed anyone have suggestion? Is AP US hist too hard for me? And Does anyone have opinion about taking AP Cal Bc vs Multivariable Cal? Thank youuu so much guys,,

I would suggest taking the AP. I took it when I was at school, and Hotchkiss has great and dynamic teachers. There will be probably more juniors than seniors in the class, but it will definitely prepare you better for the SATIIs than a regular history class. It will be difficult, but it’s a really rewarding class. The textbook that we use provides a lot of the information, and in my class, there were many korean and chinese students who did just as well as the american students. I would suggest buying an AP Kaplan/Barron’s book though just in case! Hope this helps!

Sure! Thank you very much!
