Oh man, If only I found out this thread a year ago !

im just so much more thankful that USC took me =]

1 rejected, 4 accepted (USC marshall, UCSD....marshall :), UCI, UCSB regents)

Rejected at Colorado College and Oberlin....I applied to 16 colleges and those two are not the most selective ones on my list, so what to expect???? 16 rejections?! Gosh....

I wish I had a rich family bc I think my efc is a huge factor working against me

Did u guys receive admissions decision from Lehigh? I have applied there too , but havent received any notification.

I'm not an Ivy's kid. I've never been ivy tier, and I've tried as hard as I can. It's most likely due to the fact that I'm diagnosed with ADHD. But even with the meds, it's like I can't reach any higher potential. So here's my acceptances and rejection.

Acceptances:
Arizona State University
University of Arizona
Northern Arizona University (committed to enroll in the fall)

Rejections:
UC Santa Barbara

To all of you crazy kids who are inhumanly smart, there's always hope for grad school! My brother graduated from UCSB and is now in graduate school working on his masters in Columbia University's theatre program.

Rejected at Macalester, may have something to do with asking for FA and applying a month late (with permission from Adcom though)

"No Face - are you from the bay area? I am in the same boat as you... " Tick

no i dont live in the bay area, i live in socal but i've been to the bay area several times

rejected at every possible UC you can think of :(

Rejected:
UCLA
UCSD
UCSB
UCIrvine
UCBerkley

I just got totally rejected from Macalester. Effing totally rejected.

Did u guys receive admissions decision from Lehigh? I have applied there too , but havent received any notification.

Well i just got rejected from Bucknell, my top choice. Even if I did get in i probably would have had to go into 100K+ debt to even go there, so its not like I could have gone there anyways. I still would have liked to have the option. I cant wait for two more rejections from Lehigh and Villanova.

I got rejected from all my state schools: UCLA and CSULB (which I was kinda depending on just for financial reasons). So far I've been 3-2, 3 acceptances and 2 rejections.

Accepted : USC, UC Riverside

Rejected: UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara

Waiting: Cornell, Yale, Dartmouth, Harvard

I have no words right now to describe the amount of stress I have put on myself just for a letter to come in but I'm sure that many other posters have experienced the same thing. Unfortunately in California, our state economy is so bad and the UC schools are only taking 10% of the applicants that applied to each school. That's pretty much like applying to an Ivy League. Will I hope the best for everyone else and sorry that the school rejected you...maybe if you make it big you can give a huge endowment to the school you went to and rub it in their faces.

The UC schools aren't taking only 10% each school.. o_0.. someone's bitter they got rejected.

Like many of you im stressing out. Graphed my stress...

Banshee:

Great graph!! just replace Cal Poly with UCi and that is me...

.I got rejected from Villanova and UCSD which I didn't think it'd be hard to get into. I was a little upset at first but then I realized that I couldn't see myself at those schools anyways. So maybe I didn't get in because I want supposed to go there in the first place. I'm just waiting on my first choice now and hopefully I get in.

hey onye how do u knoe u got rejected from berkeley? it didnt even come out yet did it? btw how long ago USC come for you?

Berkeley begins notifying March 26.

Rejected from Rice. By email. Valedictorian called me to gloat she got accepted.
