Told you, Purdue!

@bigcheese: Unless you go to a good grad school, I highly doubt most Indian employers are aware of LACs.

@ tetrisfan : i got wait listed at Harvard, Columbia and Brown albeit my interviewer called me the day the decisions came out and vehemently asked me to enroll in the waiting list stating my chances of getting off the wait list at 9 outta 10..

what if i dont get into Purdue ,cud u ppl please give me a list of universities's i should apply to ? . at least 10 , 5 safeties and 5 that i can reach

hello shrajeel,
Look mate it is a complicated situation. The universities which you intend to opt, look for excellency in academics and extra cirriculars apart from money which usually is a deciding factor for most internationals.Your scores are not bad, they would neither make or break your application.Apart from that your extracurriculars are mediocre.
Considering MechEngg. i would suggest Lafayette,Penn State and Purdue.Well i am not in a position to clarify safety colleges for you and especially five......and reaches----- well all good colleges are reaches for everyone(unless you are exceptional or very good at something......)

romil

Can you apply ED as well as Restrictive EA ? How does restrictive EA work ?

No no.

You can apply ED and normal EA to most places except Georgetown and BC, as far as I know. Also if you're applying ED to Brown, you can't apply EA anywhere else.

If you apply SCEA (Yale and Stanford), then you cannot apply ED or EA anywhere else.

None of the early plans prevent you from applying as early as possible for rolling admissions at public universities, though.

where will you all apply EA?

Me? Probably ED to Brown. If not, SCEA to Yale.

same here
but i think i would have Grinnell as a potential option too
wat do u say
acha r u seeking help(i mean counselling........)
