The Indian Thread (TiT) # 17

Wish our government would let them remain that way. Recently it tried to lower the cut-offs for the students from backward castes, drastically reducing the quality and equality of education there. :(

Oh! :(
Nevermind, there's still JEE etc.
And who are the 2 going to MIT this year?

one is jaswanth from chennai and the other ones akriti from i dunno where.....

akriti? If its the one I think she is, I've seen her on a lot of other forums that came up when I was googling ISSYP. She's got a real passion for science...
I bet she's from New Delhi ;-)
Edit: Found her blog as well lol! It doesn't appear its updated anymore though... I hope I'm thinking about the correct Akriti...

Hey guys another Indian here, from Chennai.
Sorry about MIT, I'm sure there are tons of other awesome colleges just waiting for you to walk in through their gates. Don't get disheartened!
Any idea which school Jaswanth is from?

And ignore my earlier post about Akriti... Its Akriti Shroff not Gaur as I thought... Why don't these guys come here themselves and tell us how they got in!!
Looks like some Aditi and Smitha Ramakrishna also got in..
Maybe, Radhika and Ishaan. But they might have already been in MIT haha!
Just piling up the rumours :p

aditi n inshaan are already at mit
smitha is an nri

Oh, I know that guy. Not know as in friends, but have heard of him a lot. I'm also an environmentalist!

Count me in too! Its one of the reasons I wanna go to MIT and become a nuclear physicists. I feel nuclear energy is the only large-scale solution if properly developed.

Where are you from?
