Why is the retention rate of the kings college so low? I noticed online that it is at about 61 percent which is by far the lowest I have ever seen.

I’ve been to the Empire State Building. It’s a fascinating place for a few hours, but it isn’t my idea of a college campus. I wouldn’t be surprised is the magic wore off quickly.

If you are at all considering applying to this so called college, I’m begging you to read my post on them on this thread. - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/christian-colleges/790711-kings-college-3.html

easy in … easy out

My son also got the same offer. Does anyone know how many new students enrolled in the fall of 2011? Website only shows percentages and transfer students? How many total freshmen students in 2011-2012? How many total senior students in 2011-2012? Keeping options open as living in NYC without a meal plan is a scary thought for a parent? Are apartments for boys in walking distance of the school? I normally don’t comment on these websites I just view for informational purposes. However, if you are being harassed I would contact the State Department of Education.

I am currently a high school senior. I visited King’s College a couple of months ago with my school. It was awful!!! My tour guide was a girl named Kandy that had a mustache and was extremely rude. All i saw when walking around the “campus” was students smoking. The trip was horrendous. Just giving my 2 cents.

The KC in NYC Empire State Bldg-my d3 and I were highly impressed, and felt a great education was to be had. Good price. Apts. down the block and around the corner-one had a rooftop patio-nice. Crammed 3 girls in one bdrm, with lvg rm and kit area sep. Nice lounge in Empire. Great location near Penn Station and transportation excellent, of course. No regular campus if you have to have that. People very nice and welcoming. One thing that hit me-no Catholic churches listed in their insert of area churches, and St. Pat’s and so many others right there in Manhattan. ?? Can only assume an underlying anti-Catholic bias even if Peter Kreeft teaches there.

The other post must be talking about King’s College in NJ? There is no “campus” and smoking in NYC.

I heard through the grapevine that King’s has lost their Lease in the Empire State Building at the end of this year.

Did anyone else hear this?
