Yeah, I knew about Harvey Mudd, and Claremont, I'm pretty informed. I also know that people who matter are informed. It was what is casually referred to as a joke.
But, no matter, let's pursue this further.
To be honest, I think that Harvey Mudd is comparable to CalTech, and MIT. They usually do well at Putnam (A very prestigious math test), and are on the cutting edge of math. A lot of proofs have been done there, and one major sequences and series' solution was invented there.
I'm well aware of Harvey Mudd's merits, level of difficulty, and etc., etc.

But, let's face it....for a comparable amount of hard work, determination, and talent....one need not have a "Mudd" or a "Harvey" on their diploma.

Basically, it sounds the stupidest, and is a little worse than the schools it is grouped with.
Knaa Whut I Mean HAH?

That's a matter of personal opinion. I personally think the name is kinda funny and cute. Reminds me of chocolate Mudd pies...yumm. Undoubtedly more light-hearted and laid back than Caltech or MIT. I guess I just like schools with more of a sense of humor.

I would not go to any religious schools. That doesn't stop them from sending me their booklets though. I think I even recieved a scholarship to become a preacher from some school. ;)

University of Houston...my parents would KILL me if I ended up there (no offense). Or Texas A&M..unless I end up there. Which I pray that I won't...

UC Berkely has definately toned it down a notch, you can find some mega conservative people there, tho it still is very liberal. The UC campus to watch out for is Santa Cruz, as far as hippies go.
