The Last Place You'd Ever Go...

Why would you want to go to Caltech or even MIT to be a liberal arts major?

If I can get into MIT or CalTech, then I can obviously get into Harvard. And for a liberal arts major, Harvard's better. MIT's campus is depressing, and CalTech, well, is in CA.

MIT has IAP, Mystery Hunt, and hacks. 'Nuff said.

haha, i must ask. why do you hate CA?

It's boring.

You're being sarcastic, right... right?

No, the Mid West is boring!
Yeah for Corn Fields, small towns, and crummy weather!

No. I AM NOT KIDDING. The contents of the 20-mile radius of my house are: lettuce fields, really old rich people, golf courses, tourists, beaches, and bad shopping.

The 20-mile radius of your house is boring; therefore, the entire state of California is boring... okay! Honestly, unless you're going to UC Davis, you're not going to find any such terrain at any university in California. Have you visited any campuses?

Wheaton, Christendom, BYU (too religious)
any non-HBCU in MS, AL, AR, TN, LA, SC (too conservative)
(GA, NC, and FL are less so for they have a more diverse population)
any school in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago (or any other city with large quantities of people put close together-too crowded)
The only places I like are spread-out cities (San Diego, Houston, Dallas), cornfields, and hills (exactly why the climate of places like Middlebury and Oberlin suit me)

although LA is a big city, it's VERY spread out, unlike NYC or Chicago.

I also hate the University of Washington... for very personal reasons.

It is an exceptional university, however....

Sarah Lawrence College - i live nearby and the people there are FREAKS.

mind sharing your qualms with U of Washington? just curious.

Last place I'd ever go?

U of C.

This place is even better than Bob Jones:

www.mum.edu

Screw astrophysics. I think I might just go for a Ph.D. in Maharishi Vedic Science.

***???! Is that mum.edu site for real?!!?

Yes. Apparently, the place is even accredited. So much for accreditation actually meaning something...

I bet that place is run by another Jim Jones or whatever.
Just don't drink the Kool-Aid.

West Point would be my last choice, that and Bryn Mawr, cause I don't like the name.

Hahaha. I always think about how awkward that name sounds when I hear it or even read it. Bryn Mawr... ick.
