The Last Place You'd Ever Go...

Med school, engineering school, (anything that involves science) school....I would rather disown my family.

Or die.

Ughhh CSU.... gross.

CSU = wasteland.

:-(

Most california teachers come from CSUs. They can supply good educations, depending on where it is and what the program is. We all love to hate what we can view as inferior, though, don't we.

i don't think anyone loves to hate the CSU's, a couple are pretty good but most, like CSULA for example, are so poorly funded and haggard; it makes them seem like they're larger versions of a community college. but yea, they do the job.

I'm def not a CSU hater. In fact, Cal Poly is an excellent college...but yea...Chico isn't a place I would want to go to receive an education

I "got" loads of them. Starting with Clemson, The University of South Carolina, Newberry College, Coker College, Furman University, Davidson College, Washington & Lee, Yale, Bowdoin (Bates, on the other hand, is a real winner!).

Moving on to Ohio State, Wisconsin/Madison, Illinois/Champaign-Urbana, Purdue, Bob Jones, Liberty, Oral Roberts, Elon, Georgia Southern, University of Georgia, Auburn, Texas Tech, The Citadel, Virginia Military Institute, Virgina Tech, Northwestern (really, really obnoxiously repulsive), Indiana University.

Continuing with The University of Hartford, all the "meditation" colleges, Appalachian state, Lenoir Rhyne, Bennington (although Vassar now is absolutely great!), Pace University, Long Island University, Rhodes, Birmingman-Southern, Eckhard, Barry University, Millsaps, Spelman, Morris Brown College, Morehouse, Stanford, UCLA, UC-Santa Barbara, UC-San Diego...and many, many, more.

The University of North Dakota.

Something tells me I would not like it there.

"CSUs. They can supply good educations."

Yup. Sounds about like it.

what the hell? yale, stanford, northwestern, bowdoin?

Florida State. I swear that 98% of the senior class is going there.

Iona College, Fairfield, Villanova, SUNY Binghampton, Fordham, Quinnipiac, Loyola Maryland

Probably because A LOT of people from my school go there and I want to get away!

UCSB- HUUUUUUUUUGE party scene even though every school is a party school, but on top of that the campus is ugly and the city of SB seemed too tourist-y. I can't imagine myself living there for 4 days, let alone 4 years.

Chico State- middle of nowhere, partypartyparty, kids from my school go up there to party...UGH. Actually, I'd rather not go to any of the CSUs because they seem to lack any sort of community or school spirit and most of their locations kind of suck. Possible exceptions would be Monterey Bay because I actually like the area and it's not HUGE and San Francisco or Long Beach because there's actually stuff to do around there. SDSU has WAY too much partying and Cal Poly SLO is pretty but it's pretty much the only "there" there for at least 200 miles going north and south and I'm not going to have a car. Sonoma State is a really good place for academics and the campus is actually pretty nice considering it's right next to a sprawling suburban boring-fest (AKA Rohnert Park/Santa Rosa general area) but it's only 20 minutes away from home so I'd only go there if my only options were there and the JC.

Anywhere in the Central Valley. I guess if I REALLY had to I'd go to Davis, which is probably the best place in the valley (but that's not saying much), and it's a really good school but I'd much rather go elsewhere.

Preppy, party all the time, very Greek, and in the middle of nowhere/not close enough to a big city- Colgate, Hamilton, Lehigh, Bucknell, Lafayette, St. Lawrence. Dad keeps pushing these on me (well, not really St. Lawrence :-D) and I know the scenery's probably really pretty and the academics are excellent but everything I've read about these places from a student's perspective tells me I probably wouldn't be happy there.

Washington and Lee- rural Virginia, heavily Greek and conservative, only 1500 people....sorry, no. This kid I knew last year who wound up being the salutatorian applied to W&L because they said they'd give him a ton of scholarship money and they did...but he STILL went to Berkeley. And he's not even a crazy stuck-up liberal hippie or anything like that :-D.

Anyplace in Idaho, Wyoming (all ONE places :-p), North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

I'm not ruling out the South because there are a lot of excellent schools there (Rice, Davidson, and other smaller ones) and even someplace like Mississippi or in the Appalachians seems like it would be interesting. For whatever reason though UAlabama/Auburn and pretty much any place in Florida really don't appeal to me at all. Or the University of South Carolina.

Sorry, last one: any religious schools with stupid rules like "people of the opposite sex are forbidden to be in each other's rooms after 7 pm by penalty of whipping" or crap like that.

Liberty University. Not only is it an ultracon Baptist University, but it's run by Jerry Falwell.

And it's in my town :(

Uggggh Jerry Falwell :(

Haha, UND... a lot of people from my school are going there, actually

religous colleges PEriod...im Catholic and I believe the yadayadayah...but hah i rarely go to church I respect people who r highly religous but its not me im not going to spend a hour in a church... listening to stuff...Some of what there saying is stuff i believe is wrong...When im 18 im converting to Baha'i which is a friend of mines religion...ITs exactly what i believe in and i will have a reason not to drink or smoke(Its not allowed in the religion)and eventho my parents would probably support me now if i converted i want to wait

I would never ever go to UCLA or San Jose State University

UIUC for me. Everyone I know in my graduating senior class seems to be going there. Not exactly a big plus in my book.

You may call me weird but the places dat i would most like to be in are MIT, caltech, and harvey mudd...

places i dont want to be in are brown, william, amherst.... those small liberal art colleges... and also UT-Austin... im scared dat i would be just a "number" there... although i applied to UT-Austin... haha how ironic is that
