<p>Has anybody heard of any people who were slackers in high school (and didn't reach their potential), but went on to college to do something monumental? </p>

<p>Not monumental, but my sister went from a 2.6 or so in HS to a 3.25 so far in college (sophomore year) and is still improving.</p>
<p>my mom's cousin made only Cs and Fs in high school then went to become a billionaire in the computer industry [seriously]. </p>
<p>I think that happened to a lot of rich business people.</p>
<p>my great grandpa Albert Einstein dropped out of highschool and became an international celebrity for his special relativity theory. My dad Bill Gates dropped out of college and became a billionaire. no joke.</p>
<p>Walt Disney got fired from the newspaper he worked for and they told him he would "never amount to anything".</p>

<p>my uncle, matt drudge, graduated at the tail end of his h.s. class, didn't go to college, and now runs of one of the most successful news blogs on the internet!</p>
<p>my grandpaw, john mccain, graduated at the tail end of his class at the naval academy and just won the new hampshire primary!</p>
<p>Bush Sr. didn't have to buy his son through college. He was a quintuple legacy.</p>
