<p>My DD is in school on the east coast and we live in CA. She lived in the dorm her freshman year and has had an apartment since. The downside of an apartment is that it is usually 12 month lease which is actually a plus for her. She doesn’t need to store stuff for the summer.</p>

<p>A few notes:

  1. Shipping via UPS, etc. is very expensive
  2. Buy it there, keep it there
  3. If you must ship, we found it was cheaper to pay the airline checked bag fees</p>

<p>College shipping places such as “all college solutions” are cheaper than UPS, USPS, or fed ex for shipping boxes.</p>
