I’d like to second @SoofDad’s post - please do not believe rumors about admissions notifications being early this year…I have been reading this forum since high school class of 2011 admissions season, and posting here since high school class of 2012 admissions season…same rumors, different years. Never fails.
Fwiw, I understand other forums may be different, but Maryland forum “decision” threads are typically reserved for actual decisions (actual admissions/denials) with stats, LEP status, honors/scholars notifications for future applicants’ edification (yes, special programs are part of admissions decisions, but merit money/scholarships are separate notification and will not come out until some time after that).
So, it is for this reason I would like to suggest that everyone who starts or posts a thread for discussion of admissions refrain from using the word “decisions” in the title. It’s not a problem to discuss, speculate, chance, whatever you want to do about admissions before decisions are made, but there are people that get really excited when they see the word “decision” which adds to the raising of false hope of news that isn’t actually available yet.
This forum is a great way to connect to others who are going through the same anxiety with same concerns…for fun, I remember one year, in the final weeks before decisions came out, someone started a game where people posted something unique/fun about themselves that they didn’t put in their applications…
