Hi,
I am a junior and I was recently rejected from the High school Opera Singers Institute. I was wondering what the acceptance rate for this program is? Also does anyone think that this program would be worth going to next year, if I get in? Next year I would be in the middle of my audition season so I guess I might be able to schedule it around another audition in NYC.

My daughter participated last year, as a junior. I don’t know how many applied, but they had 20 in the program. She really benefitted from the mentoring and would have tried to attend again but it falls in the midst of auditions (as you have noted). You might consider a summer program like the one with Washington National Opera instead, but keep on top of the application dates, as she missed it last year.
