The most important deciding factor to admission?

Of my 4 best interviews, 3 of the interviewers were male. They got more out of me, and were more enthusiastic about their job and the school. I had one lady who was plain crabby and was trying to point out bad things instead of trying to get to know me. (That was not SPS, btw.) The woman at Hotchkiss is the exception to this; she made me feel most at ease and I swear I could've talked to her for hours.

are you guys serious? i loved my interviewer at sps! one of the best i've done! she was genially interested in me. she didn't feel like an elitist at all (she was from georgia), and really answered my questions well. i just started talking, and it ended up for like 40 minutes or so. my guide was korean, so we had our tour in korean lol. bottom line, my interviewer wassss realllyy nice, and i really like sps. don't know why you guys dislike it so much! maybe because mine was on a snow day (hehehe) and campus really looked good. she genially looked forward to my application. man, maybe i was the lucky one w/ the uniquely nice interviewer? i was actually worried about my sps because of what was going on cc

SO weird, freshie! I'm glad you had a better experience...

Yikes... SPS needs to put their interviewers through a more thorough screening process, this is really unimpressive. Interviewees' experiences should NOT differ this greatly - from abysmal to exceptional, NOT cool.

I'd say
1. How Good Looking You Are
2. How Much Money And Fame You/Your Parents Possess
3. Grades, Standardized Test Scores, Demonstrated Intelligence
4. Everything Else

Haha. ^^^^^^

wat was on the survey, bigred12?

Ya you've got to try and be more like the interviewer...I was ready to have a conversation about one of my major hooks but he didn't seem to care about that. He seemed to care about my sports...so hey we talked about sports ..I mean who am I to force him to listen to what I have to say. They will read the application any way. Then I realized it was a Q&A and got worried (first interview with boarding school) and thought all the interviews would be like this...but there not. Looking back on it I'm pretty sure I nailed that interview, at the end he was talking to me more like a coach.

It was kinda like you apply to 11th and your not playing basketball for me...you apply as a repeat and you will get in which means you can play basketball for me. So im like alrite...anything to get in. I have A/E and Deerfield next week.

Yeah, you can interpret it your own way...

It comes down to the match and the quality of interviewer.

I don't agree ..but w.e.

What was your interviewers name? I think I know the girl... my friend got her and loved her. (Freshie)

illa pm you

who was ur SPS interviewers? i got mr. kilka and I think he was ok... but a little intimidating!
