I tried searching for this, but I was having difficulties finding any information. If I've overlooked a thread, just give me the link. :)

I was wondering which are the most transfer friendly liberal arts colleges. I've been looking at a lot of transfer statistics, and it seems like the only schools that are very transfer friendly are big universities. So which LAC's are the most transfer friendly, both by acceptance rate and number of students matriculating as transfers?

I know the info for where I applied last year. Sorry if I misread your statement.

If there are any particular schools you are looking at, I can try and find them. I'm sure someone has posted LAC info, I just don't remember where it is.

Well, I'm definitely applying to:
Smith
Mt. Holyoke
Wellesley
Carleton

I also like, but I'm not sure if I will apply to:
Oberlin
Kenyon
Bryn Mawr
Grinnell
Macalester
Hendrix

I am considering, but haven't done enough research on:
Cornell College
Earlham
Beloit
Knox
Wheaton (MA)
Kalamazoo
Lawrence U
Clark U
Denison
St. Olaf
Brandeis
Haverford
Sarah Lawrence
Berea

Universities that I might consider, though I would prefer an LAC:
American
William and Mary
George Washington
Emory
Rice
Clemson (I'm from SC)
U South Carolina (same reason as Clemson)

As you can see, I'm still very much in the research stage. That's why I was just asking for a general list of transfer friendly LAC's. I wanted to see if any on my very long list were known for being friendlier to help me narrow things down or if anyone knew of one I hadn't heard of/looked at.

If you look at a school's Common Data Set (should be on the school's website), Section D has Transfer Admission data and includes number of transfer applicants, number accepted and the actual number who enrolled. Most schools I've looked at have several years worth of CDSs for comparision.

milkdud, I really want to transfer to Connecticut College. Do you go there?
I got rejected from Colby so I'm having second thoughts because the two schools seemed pretty similar.
