Does anyone know when scores arrive on the west coast? (More specifically, northern California?) Thank you :)

Aceuniverse - But wouldn’t you rather know sooner than later that you failed? That way you aren’t rushing to the mailman each day asking him for AP scores? Last year, my neighbor decided not to call and to just wait for them, and harrassed the mailman so much, that when the kid finally got them, he wanted to know his score… Turned out the kid got a 2. Buzz kill, much? I don’t know, but I’d like to know how I did, no matter how good or bad, a bit earlier.

Goldenretriever - I think California is one of the quickest states to get their AP scores. Not sure why, since they’re mailed from NJ. There’s an online page that lists the average dates states get the scores, if I can find it, I’ll post it.

Live4Physicz… okay we’re on this to countdown about calling, please don’t pick any more fights with people by insulting their urgency.

Hmm, wikipedia says CB is headquartered in New York, not New Jersey…

NY*** My bad.

ps. is late afternoon approx. 3/4 PM?

Yeah, I thought it was NJ too because my AP Coordinator told me “Well, I’ll seal this exam booklet and mail it to New Jersey…”

But are you sure they mail from NY? My teacher last year went to Florida to grade the tests as a grader.

EmPaige21 - I assumed late afternoon was around 5-6, almost dinnertime.

Regardless of the HQ, they mail them from the west coast

@liv4physicz, It would be nice if we could all just get along. I understand your opinion, and, to a large extent, you’re right. We are just giving money away for the luxury of less wait time. However, to some people, it’s worth the $8 to reduce anxiety.
For me, it’s about which classes I sign up for and when I do so. The sooner the better. If I actually waited for scores by mail, I would actually miss the deadline, July 15, because I live in FL and the scores would probably come afterwards. Since I have to call anyways, might as well do it now.

Webass - I remember reading something online about grading in FL, an English Lang. instructor, who had to fly down here to score some tests. Not too sure if they all grade down here, but I have seen a few things about it.

Oh womp. I guess “late afternoon” leaves CB a large window of time.

Haha, I think we’re all taking Trevor a little too literally. I think he was just trying to say that they may be up earlier (too many specifics would NOT be helpful to Trevor or the College Board).

I want to be Trevor when I grow up.

S didn’t call last year but will call this year because he just graduated and his scores will impact which classes he has to sign up for 1st semester, and he has to choose those soon. Last year mailed scores to VT arrived fairly late (16th) and freshman course sign up begins earlier than that. And there is some thought involved in figuring out what to take when under a number of different placing-out scenarios.

I don’t see the value in paying $8 anymore, haha. I’m not a senior who needs the scores. I took a lot of tests and I’m anxious to know, but knowing on Tuesday morning for free (by asking my school’s AP administrator) is a better option to me than knowing tomorrow afternoon for $8.

I understand the anxiety everyone is having, but in all seriousness, patience is a virtue…that can save you $8, lol. Beside, TheRealFake shares a good point, why not just contact a teacher or the school? Enjoy your summer guys, yes, it’s very nerve-wrecking, but do something out of you summer, read a book, go out with friend, etc… Also, I live in Florida, so you could imagine the fact of how late I will get them myself.

My school doesn’t have anybody on campus during the summer with access to scores.

I am only able to contact one of my in-school teachers, plus two of my FLVS AP teachers. Plus, I took three exams I didn’t have a teacher for. I want all of my scores, not just some of them.

I need my scores by July 1st, as I leave the country on July 2nd.

Why would you call your teachers? All my teachers told me that they receive how many 5’s, 4’s, 3’s, etc the students collectively scored but they don’t know what individual students received. That’s why they told us to tell them our scores on facebook. lol
