Lights still to come at the National Historic Landmark.

The field to be covered, in the off season, by a "bubble" - permitting year-round use of the field.

Is nothing sacred anymore?

well, its GREEN at least. sort of sad though.

VERY green.

I notice that Princeton and Dartmouth have also gone to "FieldTurf" this year; Penn, Cornell and Columbia also have artificial surfaces.

"The Big House" at Michigan also has fake grass these days, and, like Harvard, will be adding "discrete" lighting for nightime practices and games.

The new "FieldTurf", reportedly, has improved on Mother Nature. Forget "AstroTurf" and all those 1st and 2nd generation products!

http://www.fieldturf.com/

(P.S.... I hear it also does wonders for the passing game.)

Lower long term maintenance cost......Besides, most large high schools have it now too.

grass is obsolete.
