<p>The New England Patriots currently have the best record in the NFL… This is something that going into the season I never would’ve predicted. That defense is looking better and better every week. If the Patriots offense can show up (in the way that they have in the second half of every post-Moss game thus far) for all four quarters I can see them going deep into the playoffs.</p>

<p>I personally hope the Jets crash and burn today in Detroit - Maybe Sanchise will hopefully throw 3 picks or so? And I hope Miami imperfects their 4-0 away record at Baltimore today. Oh, and I hope the league leading, 6-1 Patriots of New England wreck Cleveland.</p>
<p>*And as a side note, I hope Oakland loses to Kansas City so that the Patriots first round draft pick goes higher.</p>

<p>Baltimore won by 16 but that doesn’t matter. If any one of my wishes could matter, it would have been the Patriots winning - Miami losing was the least important out of those 3. The Patriots look like they just got set back to the way the team played in 98, 99, and 00.</p>

<p>u guys dont even understand the pain i feel…as i lions/steelers fan i watched the whole lions game… they are up 20-10 with like 5 mins left and jim schwartz keeps calling stupid playcalls and their defense being all scratchy getting a thousand penalties on them… the lions had this game in the bag and they themselves lost it… they **** me off so much =( and i hate the ravens so much… go steelers</p>

<p>Hopefully Schwartz will be fired by tomorrow. It’s obvious that the move in that situation is not to kick w/ Suh but to rather put your backup QB in as holder (hell, give him a 2 minute crash course w/ the punter on the side line) and have your punter kick. Honestly, it’s embarrassing that they don’t have something lined up for if their kicker gets hurt.</p>
<p>Patriots had to do it today - Wes Welker played not just as WR for his HS team but also as kicker (nailing a 47 yard FG in hsi state championship I may also add as a random fact) so they used him on the PAT and Kickoffs today after Gostkowski went down with an injury.</p>
<p>But seriously - why are the Lions using their punter as a holder and not a backup QB in case something like this happens? Oh well, that’s why I should be coaching the Lions, not Jim Schwartz.</p>
