Fly Eagles Fly.

the Jets need to rebound…Pittsburgh is gunna be tough.

But I’m really interested to see if the crucial Jaguars-Colts game and the Giants-Eagles game…two big games where the winner of each will likely win the division

and the JETS rebound this week after beating the Steelers in a thriller 22-17.

^^^^ Great game. 'Twas fun to see all the Giants fans get their hearts broken then to have the Jets pull out a nice win.

True, that was the worst meltdown in recent Giants history. Giants are now faced with a virtual playoff game next week: win=in, lose=out.

But Jets fans, be honest…would you bet on your team to beat the G-men?

P.S. Incredible finish, Eagles, hope to see you again in the divisional round. Feel free to send your thank-yous to our ex-punter.

that was an incredible comeback…tough Giants loss. I truly think it would be an extremely competitive game if the Jets and Giants played each other…I really want an all NY superbowl…if it will ever happen.

Well, I was pulling for the Bears, but gotta hand it to the Packers, you guys deserve the playoff spot. Of course, the Giants and Bucs deserve a spot more than whatever the NFC West spits up…especially if it’s the Seahawks, who are 3 games behind the Giants/Bucs and suffered 20+ pt losses to both the Giants and Bucs.

The Packers will win the Super Bowl!

Yay, Broncos get the #2 pick in the draft

And the Chiefs make the playoffs!

And by this time next week all NFL western division teams will be eliminated.

I think the NFL competition committee should seriously be concerned. Recently, the west divisions have achieved mediocre records; the only reason these records are mediocre rather than awful is because of their weaker divisional opponents.

What are the alternatives? Are there alternatives that don’t involve completely forgetting the division system?

Combined Records of Teams West of the Mississippi River: 68-92…2/10 teams have winning records (KC and SD)

Combined Records of Teams East of the Mississippi River 188-164…12/22 teams have winning records

National Forensic League?

Drat.

It’s happened before. A few years ago the AFC East was awful, the NFC South and NFC North have both been awful, and the AFC South has been pretty weak for much of the decade.

It’s cyclical. Things will change.

Don’t forget the 9-7 Superbowl Cardinals that nearly knocked off the Steelers… A division championship is a division championship. Also, NFL owners voted against a proposal to base seeding off of regular season records previously.

My thoughts exactly.

^ you know you’re a CCer when…

Seahawks are surprisingly tied with the saints 17-17 … interesting

^ And it does not seem to be pure luck either… I suppose everything they say about the 12th man is true
