For those who had back to back math sections in the beginning, which one was the experimental?

i actually remember both questions for the aunt in the dark short passage.

I had to guess on both questions of that passage. :S

Math - EASY
CR - HARD
Writing - EASY

so i had w,m,m,r,w,m,r,r,m,w

which one was experimental (1 really hope it was the first math) I omitted 3

also i suck at cr and thought it was pretty easy. i know i missed the completion ques. with vitriolous (sp?) but dont know what else

i only got to the 3rd paragraph of my essay so im screwed there.

I need to know the answer to the first one. I omitted the 2nd one :(

afro
i think it was the first... don't really know why, but I didn't like the second to last question.

How is everyone so sure of which section is experimental? I had two CR sections back to back, and I'm hoping one of those was experimental because those were my weakest. I think I did pretty well overall. At least that's what I want to think. And thank goodness for easy writing sections!

I'm concerned that I only had a page and 2/3 for my essay, since the advice is usually to fill up all the space. I most likely got a 10 on the essay.

I think the rabbit duck thing was experimental since I don't remember that. Do they use the same type of section for each experimental section? Like, are all the CR experimental sections the same?

The harder sentence completions seemed nearly impossible this time. I'm usually pretty good at guessing those, so I hope my Princeton Review strategies worked out well.

Does the cursive thing on the back affect your score? I did fine with it but the kid next to me said he didn't know how to write in cursive. Though he also finished every section at least 5 minutes early, so I question his seriousness.

Which writing section was experimental? The paragraph improving about the boy that built a desk, or the one about the african american newspaper?

the writing with the African newspaper was NOT experimental

No, the cursive part doesn't affect your score =)

I only had 1 and 2/3 pages for my essay, too... I decided to cut out my third paragraph right at the end, because the essay worked better as a comparison between the two works that I chose.

I only skipped one math problem, and I felt confident about all of my answers. I hope that I didn't get tricked by any...

I agree about the sentence completions... I changed two of my answers at the last second, and my first instinct was correct. Blahhh. I always do that =(

Which experimental did I have? I didn't have the rabbit/duck passage, brick math problem, OR a paragraph about a boy and his desk...

I read somewhere that you tend to get a better score if you write 5 paragraphs rather than 4...is that true?

And if I had an experimental, it was either reading or math. I omitted 3 questions on one math section that seemed way harder than the other math sections (I didn't omit any on the other sections), so maybe that was the experimental.

not at all

I know people who got 12s with 4 paragraphs. Always take quality over quantity.

oh god, the aunt in the dark was a non-sense to me. The questions did not seem to have anything to do with the passage. :(

On average, people with 5 paragraphs probably have higher scores, because they have more examples...
That DOESN'T mean that you have a better chance of getting an 11/12 if you write 5 paragraphs... it just means that the average score might be better.
If the four paragraphs are well-written, though, and go into more detail, that essay can definitely get a high score as well.
I wrote 4 paragraphs on my ACT essay, and I got a 12 =)

whew, thank god.

I finished the essay 5 minutes early though...I don't think I provided enough support.

I believe that was the one with the historian passages (or was it the aunt or sailor passages?). Either way, I hope that was experimental. I guessed alot on that section. :S

that was not experimental... but the question was okay i thought...
lol sorry :/

experimental reading was the one about being in a group

sadly, i believe that section was not experimental as i had hoped. i had one extra writing section which was experimental. EEP!!
