The OFFICIAL 2013 Decisions Thread

Probably FSU, although I absolutely hate FSU

**Attention!

If you have NOT made a GatorLink account before they date of February 8th you must wait until February 10th to do so. **

I got in

Hispanic IB Student
12/502 Class Rank
1980 SAT, 30ACT
4.6ish Weighted
Blood Type: O-

Possible reason for acceptance: UF loves IB kids

Feel bad since I know I won’t be going and my other friends didn’t get in

Congratulations! You have been admitted to the 2013 Fall University of Florida freshman class!

Kind of surprised: GPA 4.2 ACT 32

Denied…D:

Ok seriously why don’t they just send all applications an email? It would be easier for them, and easier for us!

You’re just full of jokes aren’t you? xP looks like you haven’t come into contact with the Rhenus factor. Congrats!

^ They are sending acceptances. I figured if I’m not able to check myUF, I’ll just wait until Monday for my letter.

Now it says: “Unknown or Unstable identity provider”

it has this long message i have no idea what any of it means. Did anyone else get this?

I can’t make it to login page.

Thanks, Niquii!

got that message then was able to view acceptance

Just found out from Facebook that my valedictorian didn’t get in… but she got into Duke? Okay UF, that makes sense. Also I still can’t log in!

Accepted…summer B

GPA 3.9 UF GPA 4.4
SAT…did not submit
ACT 26
Top 5% of class
6 AP Classes
24 Academic Classes
Lots and lots of extracurricular…and Volunteer
White female
middle high income

Live in Florida…thought I had a 50/50 chance due to ACT not the best

I’ve gone on like a million times in the last 10 minutes and it still says it. I guess I’ll just wait another hour or so :frowning: So frustrating!!

how is uf so selective? How are kids with 4.0+ GPAs and 2000+ ACTs getting rejected? this is crazy…

Anybody that lives in Florida knows that UF is never a safety, no matter how great you are. From a numbers standpoint, it probably has something to do with affirmative action and the large Hispanic population in south Florida.

Just hoping that I and all my friends get in.

ok seriously? ?! This is ***.

that’s so unfair though- I know a bunch of people who got in with much lower stats, yet they reject people in the top of their class. this is ridiculous…

Seeing these great kids get rejected is kinda stressful…
I have a 3.67 GPA, 1960 SAT, and 31 ACT.
The suspense is killing me, lmao.

This is what I’ve been trying to tell people for years.

I understand the need for disadvantaged children to receive a shot at improving their lives through higher education, but affirmative action is completely erroneous in the means of accomplishing this positive task. As an Asian American, this applies to me even more.

I really hope that Fisher vs. Texas overturns a stigma of American society. It’s the politics of reverse-discrimination at hand.
