No, it doesn’t. Be as clear and concise as possible. You don’t want to confuse your grader with stray equations, work, and/or gibberish.

Thanks IRJunkie. Also, what is the format for answering questions? 1a) b) c), etc.?

Precisely. Answer it in that exact format. For example, look at the 2008 questions and the Scoring Guidelines the graders used. They both follow the (a), (b), (c), etc. format.

I believe it follows the same format as the AP Calculus BC exam?

Okay. Well the initial energy setup is going to be 1/2mv^2 as your kinetic energy and zero as your potential. So PE = mgh; since maximum PE is at H, maximum energy, be it kinetic or potential, is mgH. At H/2, PE = mgH/2, which is half of the total energy, implying that the other half is kinetic energy (out of the original amount being ALL kinetic). So, B

Good night everyone! Good luck tomorrow!

lets do this thing!

bring it on!

Hi,
First post here.
I go to an international school in Bangkok, and I’m done with AP physics b crap.
I found mc section difficult, and harder than PR and BR practice exams.
think i scored around 60% out of 70 Mc’s for all the practice test in PR and BR…
FR was better than MC though.

does anyone have any idea what percentage we must get for 4 or 5?

AIM Chatroom: apphysics

come for last minute reviewing

we already have a chatroom look in previous posts and you dont need aim to get on it

Ok, the test is in 2 hours, I have not slept for the last 36 hours. And i still haven’t finished studying for physics. Teacher was teaching ap for the first time plus I slept during class most of the time so no class preparation period. Brain’s pounding and stomach’s rumbling. I’m so far up the creek that I lost the canoe as well.

And all I can think of is the last stanza of Kipling’s poem

"If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And - which is more - you’ll be a Man my son! "

So I fill the 3 hours up, will I be 3.6 x 10^3 the man?

Guess I’ll fight for a 3.
This sounds like a suicide note. Sorry, it’s not but room 203 from noon to 3 will be where dreams go to die.

Damn multiple choice was hard?!?!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that’s my weak area.

I think they take Form B for international testing. I’m not sure if it’s different FRQs and Multiple Choice or only FRQs. Good Luck everyone :] (I know I’ll need it to pull off a 4)

The_Procrustean: Good luck. Hey, if you have no clue on a FRQ just jot down the poem. I’m sure the grader will get a good laugh.

Why so serious???

I did the ap physics B exam i just finished ! actually for me th MC was kind of good i think but the first question from the free response was sooooo hard non of my classmates knew how to solve it !
but good luckk everyone :)

^^wait ur done??? ohh so the MC wasn’t bad??? that’s good!!! were the other frq easy?? any lab stuff???

I hope theres no lab stuffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

yes im done im an international student living in amman ! anyway ya the mc wasnt that hard ! the frq were tricky but like as i said the first one was really hard like none of my classmates knew how to answer it, there is 6 questions this time and not 7 ! no there isnt any lab stuff but there is one graphing questions ! and yeah thats about it… feel free to ask any other questions
good luck :)
