<p>I thought that briefly as well, but it doesn’t actually make sense when you think about it.</p>

<p>A) Plenty of highly qualified candidates were accepted.
B) In reality, they would be likely to accept me and offer me copious amounts of money, not waitlist me. I mean, that’s what American did for my “overqualified” friend.</p>

<p>ohmyGOSHHH - I’m actually taking a train to the city right after school - I’m thinking of openening my letter in front of Columbia’s gates and probably creeping out security when I scream with (hopeful) joy XD</p>

<p>-It’s agood thing the letters are released after their offices are closed or I would have the urge to run in and hug the lady in the office of Undergrad Admissions</p>
