The Official Inspirational September Test Thread

I’m shooting really high. I got a 25 last time, and i’m shooting for a 32. likely? no. possible? sort of. Will i get it? You bet your as s I will

Hoping to go from a 29 to 31. Best of luck to everyone. Here is a good prayer I have always used if you are religious and a Christian.

“My God, enable me to trust in the good outcome
of the test I am about to take;
help me to contribute my own share
of optimism and confidence.
With your grace, my God,
I hope to crown my efforts with success.
Keep far from me at this moment
any presumption that it all depends
exclusively on me.
You are next to me, my God,
the necessary and welcome presence
in all the moments of my life.
I will take this test, my God,
because it is important
for my personal development.
My God, be the source of my inspiration
in my doubts and uncertainties,
supporting me with your blessing.”

Hoping to go from a 31 (my first practice test, red book) to a 33-34

i scored 36 in reading yesterday =)

Any advice from English 36’ers? I’ve been stuck at 35 forever.

27 to high 30’s.

I hope this is possible.

cclolzftw: I got a 36 in June in English. I don’t know what advice I can give lol, it was all grammar and logical sentence patterns. But seriously it’s a one question difference btw a 35 and a 36.

All I’m asking for is a 30. I have a 26 right now, but I’m really trying to improve!

@Jayay90

I know it’s a one-point difference. Haha. That’s what bothers me.

Same here Durban

Generally, with diligence and DAILY practice, a 2-3 point gain is feasible…above that is possible, but just not generally probable, unless you have extenuating circumstances that resulted in an extremely low first score (illness, lack of any preparation)…in that case, a 3-4 point jump is possible with extreme dedication to practice and analyzing personal errors…Practice and dedication to the timing aspect of the ACT is critical for any point increase…Good luck!

Hope that isn’t your plan to get the elusive 31. l0l

cj: hey, don’t jesus-bash! Whatever works, works lol.

I too am trying to go from 26 to 30… WISH ME LUCK!

September will be my second time taking the ACT. I was really happy with my first sitting, but scoring more obviously won’t hurt. I’m hoping for a 34, but won’t say no to a 33 or 32, as long it is a score improvement. I need to make up for my somewhat lackluster GPA.

Aiming for a 35-36

To everyone who is studying: real ACT practice tests are the way to go. The ACT is much more a knowledge-based test than a reasoning test (the one exception being the science section).

I need to get a high 20 in reading, and a low thirty in science and English. I need to get an overall of at least 30, though a 31 or 32 wouldn’t be bad.

starting today, i will have more confidence in myself. c’mon september, please help us out.
i need to go from a 29 to a 31+ GOOD LUCK EVERYONE =D

I just finished the official practice test. Science was better, but Reading killed me and I scored a 32 composite. I’m getting there.

I’ll give everyone a very useful tip, the day before the test, do not read or prepare at all but instead just relax and take the day off. Get a good night sleep and on the day of the test, eat a nice big breakfast and drink a protein shake to help your brain wake up. Then do a little preparation in the morning of the test before you head out to the testing centers to get your brain warmed up. Have confidence and bring snacks for the breaks between sections.

september will be my first sitting. been getting about 33’s on practice tests. hoping for a 34-35 :!!

if not, i’ll just take again in dec. before the january deadline.
