The Official SAT Online Course™

Hello i was wondering has anyone used The Official SAT Online Course™? How was it is it worth the money. also what is the difference between this and the actual book?

My son used the online course to prep for the March 14 test. The scores aren’t here yet, so I can’t tell you whether it was worthwhile.

I can say that the practice tests gave scores that were all over the map. He took four and the CR + M varied from 1150 - 1370. (His PSAT CR + M was 127, so we’re hoping for something in the high 1200’s on SAT.)

To say that we are all on pins and needles waiting for the real score would be a vast understatement.

Oh, and the lessons and quizzes he took between practice tests seemed to be challenging, complete, and relevant.

I got this course free from my school, but I’ve never actually used it. I go to a distance learning school; I already spend too much time online. I opted to buy the 2009 versin of Barron’s and McGraw Hill. Loved them.

please more responses

You should only use the online course for the extra tests and questions. The tests should be the same as the ones in the Blue Book. As for taking the practice tests, I would recommend printing out the tests if you can just so you can write on it, bubble in, etc. Btw, my school provides us with the online course, but I have not done any of the tests because I have not exhausted my other sources yet.
