Ohh
That’s a plus then! I really hope you get in. IA
Thanksss! Where have you applied early?
Uchicago XD
Oh, God! You applied there. I know an annoying guy who’s there lol. Which program did you apply for?
AHHAHAHAHA
Yeah I did. I’m kinda undecided, but I applied for math
Maths is fine. He is majoring in English though lol, I don’t want to use a word as strong as hate but the guy was reall pain in the ass. UChicago ED really does benefit people though, everybody who applied ED from my school got in, so there’s a good chance for you too <3
@oreocookies1 good luck IA you’ll get it.
@oreocookies1 yeah, yeah. humari duaein aapke saath hain, janaab.
You guys know anyone whose been interviewed for Harvard this year? Do they usually interview in Pakistan?
@MalikBehn Thank youu!
@madiefarts123 THANKSS
@Tahir4321k I know that Harvard takes interviews, but I have no idea about this year. You can always email them and ask. Whatever you do, don’t stress out
Too late to get one anyway
Even so, don’t be bummed about it. God forbid, agar Na bhi ho, work on your other apps and kick butt XD
So how did everyone do?
Got rejected by ED college.Lafayette.
Hello there!
I am applying for regular decision to the following universities:
1). UPenn 2). Lehigh
3). Lafayette 4). Trinity college
5). Union college 6). Franklin and Marshall
7). Dickinson 8). Grinnell 9). Oberlin
10). Some other liberal arts colleges
I wanted to have an honest opinion about whether or not I have a chance of being accepted into any of these colleges. I can pay around USD 6.5k, so there’s that too. My stats are:
ACT 31 composite (got 28 in science due to which my score went down)
SAT II Chem: 800, Physics: 790, Math II: 720
I have decent EC, and a really good essay.
Got straight A* in O’levels. 3 A’s and a B in AS. 2B’s and 2C’s in A’levels my grades went downhill in the last year, as you can see.
I’m applying for biochemistry in all these colleges except for upenn where I’m applying for engineering.
And ohh I’m taking a gap year.
I don’t know what to say, really. Nobody can predict which colleges you’ll get into because there are so many deciding factors. But I think your EC’s and grades are great. Franklin and Marshall and Lafayette are quite generous with aid as well. UPenn should be a reach. I think the chances from the financial perspective are quite good because if an international student can pay up to 10k in a need-blind college which promises to meet the full demonstrating need then the school goes great lengths to meet the need of the kid. I hope it will work for you.
P.S. I applied to Lafayette as well. Let’s see how that goes.
Also, did you write a separate note to the colleges about the decline in grades?
I think you misunderstood. I can’t really pay 10k a year. As I mentioned, 6.5k is my family’s limit. So, I’m afraid that I’m asking for a lot of aid, and all of these colleges, being need aware, tend to favour those students who are asking for less aid I guess.
I did mention my decline in grades in the additional information section of my Common App.
Anyone else got into Swarthmore?
