<p>Why isn't that possible?</p>
<p>English is my third language and I scored 238 on my PSAT. I'm just waiting on the June retake of SAT but I'm sure I scored above 2250. It is definately possible if you read extensively.</p>

No, I have no idea what "national experimental people" is. National Experimental High School is just my high school's name. 實驗中學. Back to the topic. HOW DO YOU STUDY FOR IT??? 238 on PSAT is sooooooo impressive!</p>
<p>I came from Hong Kong less than 1 year ago and my CR sucks. I'm still waiting for my June SAT score.</p>

<p>hmm, interesting question... I've never thought about it. I'm a girl. :) I think it depends on how you look at it. Most people in my class (in NEHS) can go to 建國 if they want, but they chose NEHS. I guess it's sort of like Caltech & MIT, all depend on what you want.</p>
<p>wow, that is amazing, because I never heard of this kind of schools before... so girls are for 北一女? lol I'm not a pure Hong Konger. Are you still in Taiwan?</p>
<p>Vanita: LOL what I meant by "National Experimental people" was whether you guys were students from National Experimental...haha. The Taiwanese people I've met on CC seems to all be related to NEHS in some way. BTW, you guys are impressive...my parents wanted me to go to NEHS (we had connections -- "guan shi" =) -- there) but they thought it would be too troublesome to move to Hsinchu. Besides, our school had HYPMS admits so they didn't think NEHS was THAT big of an advantage. But that's pretty cool! </p>
<p>Umm....I didn't study for the PSAT, and I don't really know how I got the 238...=p I'd just say after awhile the "wrong answers" and the "right answers" tend to jump out at you and you just somehow know! =) =) hahaha. But I scored 2140 (total carelessness and lack of prep...I was prepping for AMC/AIME) on the Jan SAT so I was pretty mad at myself. This time though I'm pretty sure I made 2250+.</p>
<p>Hoganwan: Yeah 北一女 (I didn't know CC supports Chinese =p) is for the talented female students...it's the girl version of 建國.</p>
<p>(Oh Vanita I went and took 學測 and made 高雄中學 even though I'm in American school =p)</p>

<p>hoganwan: Nope. I in wisconsin now~ NEHS is not a really famous school:) it's pretty small (only about 100 people in my class). and your parents have to work for certain company to be admitted. it's quite normal that you've never heard of it. </p>
<p>oasis: it's a pity you didn't come to NEHS! i love that school. but i'm sure you're school now must be pretty good too. what grade are you in? Are you a junior?? oh, and What other people from taiwan are in CC?? I want to meet them too!!</p>
