I have cal gears stuff too to give to my parents when i officially get it. Same mind set: if I’m not in, I’m burning them all and leaving no evidence behind.

With regards to #5, I saw UCB TAP rep yesterday and got in a topic about how poor one of her previous student wrote on their PS. She said the person had incomplete sentences and etc on their PS and refused her help multiple times on improving it. Shockingly she said, they still got in… You know Berkeley’s Holistic review is unpredictable when even TAP rep are shocked at an admission.

I tried to login to myberkeleyapp with calnet id, it just says like below T.T

<Login Problem

This application was not able to get a valid STUID from CalNet directory
(It might not exist for this person or there’s an access problem). >

I cannot even see any pages after trying to login to it but can see “login problem” message above.

Are you having the same message or you see any kind of diffrent pages after you try to login to myberkelyapp page with your calnet id?

For the financial pg. there’s a blank pg shown after I logged in.
Although I did not apply for any financial aid as an international student, it should still show something on that page?

For the bearfacts, after clicking a “student” tap, it says “You are not eligible to use this system. If you think this is an error and you are a student, please call (510) xxx-xxxx.”

Although this calnet id has been made 2yrs ago and it has been deactivated, I can even login to calcentral. I think that means this calnet id still can be used for my new application for 2014. Since this calnet id is still working for my application 2014, you think I may not get in with all of the info I gave above ?

Well, UCB has been my dream school, I really feel sad now but I am ready to face harsh reality.

I’m sorry, I think I’m misunderstanding something, but why are you guys using your Calnet ID to login to myberkeley? I’m using my official UC ID with a password I created.

@Anxiety94
Well, there’re two parts on myberkeley app that one is login with your uc id and pw and other is login with your calnet id if you have one. You can see the below part to find it. You can find the tap " Log in using your Calnet ID" there.

Ahhh okay. I didn’t catch that. Heh heh, maybe it’s better if I don’t have a Calnet ID I suppose, because I just won’t know for sure until decision day.

@happy123all
Since I created my Calnet ID recently, I can’t say for sure if its not working because you’re not in or just because it has been deactivated. It doesn’t help with that fact that you’re IS, so we can’t see if you’re in thru seeing financial aid. Tomorrow’s the big day anyways, you’ll just have to wait and see just like everyone else!?

With decision day just around the corner, I wanted to give everyone my two-cents on this whole situation. If the worst fate befalls any of us (which it will), take a moment for cathartic release and relieve yourself of all of that negative energy, and then be as progressive as possible in succeeding in your next college of choice; keep in mind that all of us here are already extremely lucky to have gotten into any university, and that from here on it’s only a win-win situation. To be this diligent and passionate with waiting for a college decision already shows that each individual here that is reading or writing in these forums, is worthy enough of Berkeley.

The officers who read over our applications are just human beings, and human beings are not omniscient. There are things about each of us that would hold great weight in gaining acceptance into this fine institution, and some of those things cannot always be picked up through written words and transcripts (I know this to be fact as a communications major). As human beings, I feel that we can speak to each other through expressions that transcend far beyond words, and that’s extraordinary, so don’t beat yourself up if something goes wrong, because we’re being interpreted through a fine lens that could never possibly encompass who we are as whole people.

I know it’s more easily said than done, but count your blessings as of this moment, and realize that your career and life aspirations are what you make it, and how you use your education to achieve it, not by what institution you are admitted into. I told myself that if I don’t get accepted into Berkeley for an undergraduate degree, I can always try again in 2-3 years for their graduate program. I’m sure that for many of you, community college flew by at the blink of an eye, so what’s a couple more years before trying at this again? It’s certainly an exciting experience, so use whatever results we earn tomorrow as a positive incentive to go above and beyond! Good luck to all of us :)

From what I hear, every year it’s always 5pm PST on 4/25. It would be best to go straight to the myberkeley, but I am sure they will send out emails as well.

I have been on this thread for weeks, months even reading through to help my nerves a bit. I just made an account just to reply to you @Anxiety94 . Your new post is so inspiring that either way Berkeley or not all of us transfers will succeed but its up to us! Thank you for that.

@swayy14 @JYtransfer@karendan
Awh thanks you guys! I’m wishing the best of luck for each of you :)

I wish I could follow my advice more often, but really don’t let a few days of angst hinder a possible lifetime of achievement. I’ve seen some very impressive people here all around.

I don’t think that it’s not caring about your major GPA, but rather considering your overall, cumulative gpa from all of your classes, which makes it a lot more rigorous. I think it’s a process of pinpointing well-rounded students, who excel outside of their major pre-requisites; that seems to be what Berkeley’s all about… Finding students that are good at everything -_-
