The Official Yale Class of 2012 (Hopeful) Thread

Lol at all the courtly lovers in this thread! >w< Such gentlemen and women.

I would...save up a million boxes of cracker jack for the perfect ring, carry Yale through the threshold in my wedding dress, and promise never to occupy the bathroom for more than a half hour in the mornings.

Gah, at this point, I'd be delighted to see a big fat REJECTED on my computer screen, just to finally have some closure.

Also: Are y'all's finals before or after the 14th? I have my last one that friday, and it kind of annoys me I won't get to slack off on studying at all should Yale, by some ridiculous providence, ends up accepting me.

On a side note, what's with all the physics hate in here.... 0.o? Physics = real science (unlike bio).

Oh, also:

TEN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Pffft. Physics is totally not as cool as Bio.

fringey and Nickel, trust me, you can't be worse then I am. I suck pretty bad. Just figured it didn't cost to try.

What makes your application suck Carreira?

Physics is AWESOME. Just, when I'm tired, all the symbols mush together and I can't understand anything.

Bio takes a lot of memorization (which I sorely lack)--so I personally don't like it, but I really respect anyone who can do it well :3

i dropped physics this year. YAY :)

chem pwns because it's not a bore like physics but also not ridiculous like bio. go chem.

Nickel, my grades are not all that good. And I don't have many ECs. Things here in Brazil are quite different. My school doesn't offers ECs, actually. I don't know what my SATs are going to be, because I took them for the first time in December. Only one shot... It's got to suck.

Correction to the "TEN DAYS!!!!!!" post this morning....

NINE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When and how will Early Action admissions decisions for the Class of 2012 be available?
We hope to make decisions available online sometime during the evening of Friday, December 14, 2008. We will mail decision letters that same day, and these letters should arrive within a few days for applicants residing in the United States. (Applicants from abroad may find that the letters take considerably more time to arrive.) Please watch the admissions Web site for more information. If there is going to be a delay in posting the decisions online for any reason, you will find an announcement on our front page at www.yale.edu/admit.

(this is taken from the Early Action link at the top of the yale.edu/admit homepage)

CHEM?! How can you like chem?
My grade 2 years ago in that stupid class is what's going to get me rejected. :(( I actually liked physics & bio.
~
And NINE DAYS?! Holy Guacamoley.

Physics isn't science "real" science to me. It's math. It's actually pretty cool, too.

To me, Physics is math too. I always thought of Bio as the real science where you get to play with all the cool toys.

so glad I decided to not take physics... one class involving math is more than enough

lol I feel kinda left out since I'm into math and physics

don't you worry person above me who's name i instantly forgot, so am i!

I maintain that physics is magic. And I mean that in the sense that it is baffling to me and understandable to a small group of people. Give me a batch of plasmids to transform any day over a velocity to calculate or whatnot.

That said, GO YALE! And more importantly, go us!

oh and to those who doubt my low chances of getting in....

2.7 GPA in freshman year. K cool.

9 days.
one day to be excited
two days to wonder
three days to obsess
four days to be hopeful
five days to reassess
six days to freak out
seven days to stress out
eight days to be nervous
nine days to wait.

HERE HERE! i like that.
