dooooooooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!!!!

I won't be too disappointed if I don't get into Yale. Actually, I think I'll be more disappointed if I don't get into USC. Because then after USC comes my middle and back-up schools. =/

OMG the other night i was watching family guy and one of the jokes was,
"i'm sweating more than a non-legacy applying to yale" lmao

hilarious, and so fitting :)

hey guys
I'm new to CC but I've been reading this thread for a while in preparation for D-day this Friday and finally decided to join so I could post on this thread. I hope we all get in and that I meet you guys in New Haven next year.

I agree with fringey and 887s... if you gave this application every ounce of yourself that you possibly could have, then the end result should be satisfying. (If that makes sense). It's like "Hmm, well I tried as hard as I could to get in and that wasn't enough, so that's fate/life." I don't think I'm making sense, lol... but reading some of these messages is making me feel better about Friday. :)

smr15 -- that is so hilarious!!!. I'm kind of surprised Family Guy used it because I don't think a lot of people would understand the joke!

This is really random and it isn't even an attack on Harvard (okay, maybe it is) but I called their admissions office yesterday because I had a question about the application. The guy was kind of rude! I called and I was like "Hello, my name is ___ and I had a question about the application". The guy on the other end was like "Well, obviously you have a question and obviously my job is to answer it." He didn't say it in a nice tone it was more of a "You=dumb" tone. It made me angry... I thought I'd get that out. :) Another reason why I'd rather go to Yale!

Thanks....

Thanks to CC for giving us this forum, and the chance to discuss issues millions of kids worldwide worry about. At CC we give & get advice, help, comfort.... an idea of the competition ;]
Thanks to CC's posters, especially my fellow prospective Yalies '12. We understand each-other's anxiety. We match each-other's passion towards a common school.
Thanks to Yale, for being so perfect, and for uniting the HS class of '08-- THE BEST GRADUATING CLASS EVER!

Okay, you can all unplug your ears now; the cheese is over.

Stupid Harvard.... grr

spiffystars-- often family guy throws in more obscure jokes that are hilarious if you understand them haha
i absolutely love family guy... there was actually a whole episode about meg going to brown, it was fantastic. (one of the creators supposedly went to risd)

so now oftentimes i like to say "i'm sweating more than a non-legacy applying to yale.... oh wait- i AM a non-legacy applying to yale" :)

hahaha i love family guy!!

south park also rocks. ... that was sort of random. but it's mildly related :)?

haha yeah its related. i like both, but definitely family guy better.

best south park episode- trapped in the closet

it's less than 3 days now...2 days 21 hours

2 days!! that's really scary

Wow.... the acceptances/rejections are coming out... I just don't know what I'm gonna do!!!

But seriously, go all of us. Aside from our passion for Yale, we are clearly a great group of kids who really deserve to get in.
