The perfect mechanical pencil

I hate when pencil lead is too light.

Forget the Papermate PhD, go with the original Sanford. Much higher quality, in my opinion.

Solid as a rock, twist eraser, comfortable grip, top advance (I hate the side advance). Also, you can completely disassemble the thing in like twenty seconds. Very useful for fixing jams.

I got mine for about 4 bucks three years ago. Still going strong.

I hope you sanitize them before proceeding to use them and eat lunch w/o washing your hands!.

I don't pick up pencils I find in unsavory locations or really crappy pencils. By now, I've stopped picking up pencils on the ground. I don't usually keep soap or hand sanitizer with me, but I do make sure the pencils or not wet and have no dirt on them. I also will only pick up a pencil if I really need it, like if I somehow lose all my other pencils, but I'll usually find the other pencils again anyway. I wash my hands a lot anyway (almost always with soap), but I do realize I'm a vector for bacteria.

I love the standard twist-up Papermate (nonrefillable) mechanical pencil. Exactly what I need.

Anybody else obsessed with Pilot pens? I bought myself a pack of the multicolored click ones and they're phenomenal.

The G2 ones? Yep. I have quite the collection of the mini ones! The ink flow can be a little heavy for my taste, though.

what if you lose them?

I like the Papermate Clearpoint pencils with 0.5 mm lead. Nice grip, good hold on the lead so that it doesn't squeak or wiggle around, and the eraser is twist up.

The Office Max near my house doesn't sell Magic Rub erasers anymore :(. Those were the best...

Staedtler erasers are the best.

This is awesome.

I wonder what my profs would say if I walked in with one of those......

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!! I picked up a Pentel Twist-Click today, and it's PREFECT!! I still want a P203, but I think that's going to be harder to find.

I remember this one time in 5th grade when it was cool to trade pencils with kids, I ripped this kid off so bad.

I gave him some piece of crap pencil that was basically a glorified Bic for some nice, shiny, metallic pencil that wrote so smooth.

Well the kid soon realized how badly he got ripped and kept asking me for trade backs. I said no, b/c we agreed not to on that day. So during recess we all went outside. I come back in and I can't find the pencil. The next day, the kid asks me "How come you haven't used your pencil?". And I'm like, haha could you have made it anymore obvious you stole it? He kept denying it, so I had to let it go.

You can probably still find the Titanium on eBay :)

There are a few there, but I've gotten burned a lot recently on ebay so I'm kinda avoiding it.

Your winner is faulty.

Why? Unless you're referring to the fact that I misspelled perfect, which I fully accept the blame and profusely apologize for.

I didn't even notice that until now. The Pentel Twist-Click is faulty.

Magic Rubs are the best (from Staples)

Papermate PhD Ultra >>> Dr. Grip (the place where the lead comes out, the metal, gets dented every time I get a new one.

Eh. It feels pretty much like the Titanium, but it's readily available and its about half the price.

Oh, and I know it's .5 instead of .05. I got it mixed up with one of my favorite pens, which is actually .05. :)

Today I am very happy because I found a pentel P207!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111!!!!!!!!!oneoneone!!!eleven
