For mechanical pencils, I used to use the PHD ones exclusively. However, I found this really cheap kind called E-Sharp by Pentel. It is my FAVORITE mechanical pencil. Good balance in your hand and it just feels great.

For wooden ones... I love the Mirado Black Warrior pencils... I just bought like 24 of them today. I love the way they feel and write. hahah sounds like I have a pencil fetish.

Anyways, what are your guys' favorite pencils?

i used a single Remedy mechanical pencil (similar to phd) from 7th grade till my junior year. then... i lost it. it was very devastating. so, i bought a phd and i plan to use it throughout my undergraduate years, or until i lose it. i guess i'm kinda weird with pencils too. i become very attached to them.

wooden- I like the NY Dept of Ed pencils (i stole 5 from a desk one day BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA). i also like dixon ticonderoga
Mech- whatevers there, what im using now is papermate Clickster

I have to agree that e-sharp is the best for me. It's cheap and just the right diameter. Also, it has a lead feeding system that lets you use almost the whole piece of lead, so I love the pencils. It's the only pencil I've been using for almost 2.5 years. I use it on SAT's and everything. Even on AP's I refused to use a wooden pencil.

accel- I absolutely love Mirado Black Warrior! Those are the best pencils ever invented!!! You took that thought right out of my head!:) (Now I feel like a pencil geek).

Mechanical: Zebra M-402. THERE IS NONE BETTER! I've used this thing through middle and high school.. I love it. Unlike some of the other fat ass pencils, you can actually hold this one.

Whenever I do use wooden pencils, it's usually tichodeogas or mirado black warriors.

But seriously, guys.. get the Zebra mechanical pencil; you'll love it. The only thing is that the eraser sucks, so you might want to pick up an extra one.
