HELP! I'm starting to get a little worried. I applied to Wake RD (so I won't find out until the end of March). I did the online interview (6 timed questions) because by the time I submitted my application it was too late, I think, to conduct an interview on campus. I've read a little bit about other peoples' experiences with the person-to-person interview, and everyone seems to think that it's the "reason [they] go in." This really worries me because I am from NC, and I am afraid that Wake will wonder why I didn't just schedule an on-campus interview since I live only about 2 hours away. Plus, my brother goes there--which might only add to their confusion over why I didn't do the on-campus interview. On top of all of this, I don't think my online interview was that good...I'm sure I could've done much better in person...but it's too late now! So, can anyone provide some insight into how important the person-to-person interview is versus the online interview, and whether or not I'll be penalized for not doing the person-to-person interview when I live here in NC?

Calm down, bro. Most people, including me, felt that their online interview didn't go well. They aren't going to assume that you couldn't make it because you were lazy. Even if a person lived only 2 hours away, there are a myriad of legit excuses for not being able to visit for a interview, and they won't put against you. I heard only 25-30% of applicants did an interview of any kind, so I am sure doing the online interview was to your benefit
