I can get all of the Reading questions correct, but the prose passages are taking up 12 of my 35 minutes.
How can I improve my pacing?

have you tried the ‘look through the questions first and search for the answers’ method?

i heard for some ppl it works well.

^Generally doesn’t work for most people.

I make sure I read the passage like I would read something on the SAT. Maybe a bit faster. I keep a mental note of a summary of each paragraph so when I go to the questions it’s easy to find the answer in it.

i’ll tell you a strategy that works very well for me (improved my rdg from 27 to 34ish since jan) all the skill u really need is to be able to read at a moderate pace (just not very slow)…1st, skim the questions and identify the ones with key lead in words (names of places/people/things) then circle/underline every time those words r use in the passage. then read the passage accordingly (focus a little more on the sentences w/ circled words BUT still get the gist of the “empty” sentences/paragraphs…then u should be able to answer the questions very easily…i usually finish the rdg section with about 2-3 mins left n im no speed reader haha rdg isnt my forte either. i think this might help you…hopefully it does!

ok well I got the prose passages down to 10 minutes, but that’s still too much time

then save the prose for last that way you have sufficient time to get the easier questions from the other passages correct
