The real value of College Confidential

Anyone think this is worth the price of admission?

<a href="http://global.oup.com/academic/product/the-music-parents-survival-guide-9780199837120?q=music%20parents%20survival%20guide&lang=en&cc=us#">http://global.oup.com/academic/product/the-music-parents-survival-guide-9780199837120?q=music%20parents%20survival%20guide&lang=en&cc=us#</a></p>

I can't believe someone would sell a book like this for 99 bucks, that is ridiculous. I realize Oxford Press is a university press and thus overcharge, but wow, I would be willing to bet pretty good money that the 'advice' in this book is no better than what you find on here, and in many cases probably is worse in that it reflects some sort of magic formula for music students...

Maybe what we should do is synthesize the information on here and write our own book collectively, we could make a mint lol.

That looks like an interesting read, but there is no way I would pay $99 for it.

?? List price is supposed to be half that. I can get paperback on Amazon for $16.62. Maybe that page is just a typo.

I have a copy of that book (because I am quoted in it) and it costs $16.62 on Amazon. It’s not geared for college applications so much as the whole journey.

Maybe the way to survive as a music parent is to sell a 16 dollar book for 99 bucks.
