The reported average GPA for VT must be skewed due to the high number of engineering students,right?

Exactly what the question says. Something like 1/5 or more of freshmen go into engineering, which has significantly higher GPA requirements than most of the other majors, so I would think that the 3.84 - 4.27 or whatever that they report as the 50th perc. range would be a good bit lower if engineering wasn’t included in the calculation

Or it could be because so many students nowadays have over inflated GPAs due to taking weighted courses.
