Haha....you wish you could get me back. You can't....and no one ever can....hahahaha :D

You don't understand. I almost failed calculus. twice. this year. I failed the exam, and just barely passed the second quarter with a D-. I got a C- in chemistry 1st semester. I was doing a lot better in chemistry until this test, and I'll be lucky to pass calculus. I can't help it, I will never ever get it. not ever.

Just study study study....it's the only way to do it.

Celeb, I think CC screwed with your grades, because it got worse when you came back. I think it's almost time I go to....too much time on the computer lately....I've been staying up later and later every day.

it's really not connected to the computer. I've just affected the fact I'm retarded. No one spends 10 hours studying for a test and fails it still for no reason.

Well, what are you guys learning about right now in calc and chem?

in calculus for studying fo the ap test. We do free response and/or MC everyday during class and for homework.

In chemistry we're doing things with kinetics and thermo stuff. Like colliding molecules and all that jazz.

^^ entropy......i remember that.... :)

Good for studying, especially chemistry. I never tried the other pages out, but they have good study cards for AP chem. Don't know about the calc section though.

Houston ACT, if you can find it, has a good elementary calculus review as far as Taylor and Maclaurin series.
We begin thermochemistry after spring break; it is our final unit. We do not do review as said review is not part of the curriculum and thus not included in class time in science/math AP classes.
Finally, I am sad to hear that the Calculus situation you described in a long January post has not been alleviated, celebrian25. What about it were you not getting?

Hey everyone. I was off visiting Duke in case you guys were wondering. It was a really nice trip and I'll definitely be going there next year. Then again, I have to catch up on 10 pages of posts!

I feel like I get the concepts. It's not like I stare blankly. I tried changing things this semester. Taking really detailed notes, studying more, but my grade has actually dropped. But, when it comes to apply what I know, I ca't do it. It's making me fairly depressed quite frankly.

Hahaha.....QQ, you've got a lot to catch up on lol.

Celeb, I wish there was something I could tell you, but there really isn't since I don't know you in person. But I'm sure you'll get to whole thing figured out. For one thing, when you study, do you actively study? Like do you try to memorize a concept and then practice working out problems with what you've learned. Like try repeating the same type of problem over and over again in calc, that works. You get the steps and how to do the problem down. It's not necessarily important that you know why it's done, but just memorize the steps to solve the different types of problems themselves.

Hi QQ :)

I am actively studying. I'm to the point of ultimate frustration. When I don't even want to look at it, or I just start randomly crying because I'm so tired of being a failure. And I just don't want to even think about it anymore.

Hmm...so you guys have been talking about me!...:p4 more pages to go...huff huff

http://education.yahoo.com/homework_help/math_help/calculus

Well...this page doesn't go too far in Calc, but I think it will serve it's purpose pretty well. It shows each step to answering those calc questions lol.

Also, something that I bought that I found to be helpful, is this Spark Notes AP Calc AB/BC study thing. It has a booklet, and a bunch of flash cards. I mean at least like 300 or more maybe. And on the front there will be a question, and then in the back there are steps to answer it. I find them helpful because they are broken up based on categories, and even to what math it's from (AB or BC, or both). It even has formulas and definitions, then there is also some fold out thing, like a laminated note thing that you can put in your binder, with a lot of the info packed into that paper. I found it helpful a lot when studying, and if you don't mind spending like $20 on it, I think it's a very worthwhile investment.

Wow, so many unfortunate events over the past two days. I’m sorry about your tests Celebrian. I have less than two weeks two cram for all four of my AP tests (and self-teaching myself Statistics). In my chem. class, we haven’t even covered equilibrium yet, and we only have five or six class periods left before the AP exam.

^if all fails, who care, we will by in college by then :)

well, you guys will be . . what about me, kc, kman, all the other juniors who care? :(

if all fails, who cares, youll be in summer vacation

I’ll invite you all to visit me and Diana at Duke and take college courses. :D
